NatureSketch Summer Drop-In: July 12, Beacon Hill

the Robert Bateman Centre

July 12 2018

9:00 am - 12:00 pm

NatureSketch drop in is an outdoor nature program for kids that focuses on sketching and observing wildlife habitats in unique ecosystems. Guided by a sketch artist and a naturalist, this program encourages children to connect to natural environments in their local community using a pencil and a sketchbook. We will be exploring natural environments within walking distance of the Robert Bateman Centre and Gallery including Beacon Hill Park, the Victoria Inner Harbour & the Native Plant Gardens at the Royal BC Museum. We will start at the Gallery for a short sketching lesson, walk to a nearby location, learn & draw what we see around us in different eco-systems, have a snack and then walk back to the gallery for pick up.

Ages 7 & up (parents welcome to tag along!)

Thursdays, 9:00-12:00

Please bring a nut-free snack & water bottle. Dress appropriate for the weather & walking.

$25.00 per drop-in (no tax)

We need a minimum of 4 participants, so please pre-register if possible.  We will also allow drop-in participants in addition to the minimum of 4 pre-registered.
