Nature Sketch on The Great Trail: Victoria
September 14 2019
10:00 am - 12:00 pm
This event is now fully booked. But please consider joining the Fall 2019 Nature Sketch course! Details on both Junior and Adult classes in Victoria can be found here.
Join us for our first ever cross-Canada Nature Sketch! This year, the Bateman Foundation and Trans Canada Trail (TCT) are teaming up to host Nature Sketch on The Great Trail, a series of events along The Great Trail of Canada – the world’s longest network of recreational multi-use trails.
The Great Trail in Victoria is a waterfront pathway that highlights historic architecture as well as beautiful natural areas such as Laurel Point and Clover Point. Nature Sketch on The Great Trail in Victoria will begin at the Mile 0 of the Trans-Canada Highway and will include a short walk along the Trail to Clover Point, guided by a naturalist and a Bateman Foundation sketch artist.
This event is FREE and open to budding artists of all ages. Places are limited, so register NOW to ensure you have a spot, and receive your free gift of a sketchbook and pencil. We advise all attendees to arrive at least 15 minutes ahead of the event start time.
Nature Sketch on The Great Trail is an initiative of the Bateman Foundation and Trans Canada Trail, and was made possible by a generous gift from Mr. Rodney Briggs.
Important information! The designated meeting spot is just east of Mile 0 along Dallas road, right by Finlayson Point. Parking is limited so public transit, biking and walking are encouraged. Everyone can meet in the grassy area, oceanside along the trail. Washrooms can be used at the corner of Beacon Hill Park and Cook Street.
