Nature Sketch on The Great Trail: Halifax
September 14 2019
10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Join us for our first ever cross-Canada Nature Sketch! This year, the Bateman Foundation and Trans Canada Trail (TCT) are teaming up to host Nature Sketch on The Great Trail, a series of events along The Great Trail of Canada – the world’s longest network of recreational multi-use trails.
Nature Sketch on The Great Trail in Halifax will be guided by Alan Bateman, acclaimed painter and son of Robert Bateman. Attendees will meet at Ferry Terminal Park and will take a short walk along the Dartmouth Waterfront Trail, a paved section of The Great Trail that offers spectacular views of downtown Halifax and its surrounding areas.
This event is FREE and open to budding artists of all ages. Places are limited, so register NOW to ensure you have a spot, and receive your free gift of a sketchbook and pencil. We advise all attendees to arrive at least 15 minutes ahead of the event start time.
Nature Sketch on The Great Trail is an initiative of the Bateman Foundation and Trans Canada Trail, and was made possible by a generous gift from Mr. Rodney Briggs.
Important information! The designated meeting spot is the World Peace Pavilion within the park, right near the water. Parking can be located just east of the park, near King Street.
