Nature Sketch on The Great Trail: Calgary
September 14 2019
10:00 am - 12:00 pm
This event is now fully booked. But please consider joining the Fall 2019 Nature Sketch course! Details on both Junior and Adult classes in Calgary can be found here.
Join us for our first ever cross-Canada Nature Sketch! This year, the Bateman Foundation and Trans Canada Trail (TCT) are teaming up to host Nature Sketch on The Great Trail, a series of events along The Great Trail of Canada – the world’s longest network of recreational multi-use trails.
Nature Sketch on The Great Trail in Calgary will take in The Great Trail in Inglewood Bird Sanctuary, a haven for migratory birds since 1929! Guided by a sketch artist and a naturalist, attendees will have the opportunity to learn sketch techniques and discover more about the bird, mammal and plant species that inhabit the sanctuary.
This event is FREE and open to budding artists of all ages. Places are limited, so register NOW to ensure you have a spot, and receive your free gift of a sketchbook and pencil. We advise all attendees to arrive at least 15 minutes ahead of the event start time.
Nature Sketch on The Great Trail is an initiative of the Bateman Foundation and Trans Canada Trail, and was made possible by a generous gift from Mr. Rodney Briggs.
Important information! The designated meeting spot is the entrance of Inglewood Bird Sanctuary, in front of the centre’s building. Parking is directly out front.
